Laguna Beach Gym Goes Green

LAGUNA BEACH – When Fitness Solutions owner Ryan Kollock began thinking about how he could make his clients healthier, his mind turned from exercises and to the environment.

The 31-year-old Laguna Beach resident and business owner’s ideas for a healthier workout culminated Saturday at the ribbon-cutting for Code Green Fitness, the first certified green fitness studio in Orange County.

Some of the changes are minor, like using a water cooler with reusable steel bottles instead of disposable plastic water bottles. Other steps, like switching to a completely non-toxic cleaning service, have larger health ramifications.
